A set of 18 bilingual cards with messages that can be put to use by anyone in a hospital or at home who has trouble speaking or is too tired or sick to communicate. Cards include common messages like, “bored,” “hungry,” “no phone calls,” and so on, and are printed in English and Spanish, with whimsical illustrations to brighten their day.

Bonnie Gordon-Lucas is a freelance illustrator who began her career in New York’s advertising agencies and animation design studios. Her illustrations have appeared in nine children’s books.
